Thank you for your inquiry into Sweethaven Christian Academy.  Sweethaven was established in 1971 as an educational outreach ministry of Sweethaven Baptist Church.  Its purpose is to provide parents the opportunity to give their children a Biblical education in a Christian atmosphere.

Sweethaven offers a well-rounded academic program that will enhance the development of each student’s academic need.  As the only source of truth, the Bible enhances the study of all subjects such as English, History, and Science.  It enriches the minds and hearts of our students and lays a solid foundation for both moral and spiritual values.

It is our conviction that a Christian school should also provide both an environment and a curriculum conducive to effective learning.  In addition, we believe quality education includes building strong spiritual character, patriotism, and discipline.  If these philosophies and concepts are desired for your child’s educational growth, we have an easy enrollment process to follow.

 The following needs to be turned into our academy office:

• Completed application

• Registration fee

• Completed record request form    (not needed for K5)

• Birth certificate

• Recommendation forms (high school students only)
   

 Our staff will process your application and contact the previous school for your child’s records. Also, if your child’s previous school did not use the A BEKA curriculum, we will contact you to set up an appointment to be tested.

After step two is completed, our staff will then contact you to come in and meet with our administrator for a family interview.  We ask that the student attends as well as at least one of the parents.

Registration will then be completed in our business office where you will sign the financial contract.

​

After acceptance, as required by the state of Virginia,  we will need a copy of your child’s up to date shot records (K5 students will need a Virginia School Entrance Health Form).
