Academics

Sweethaven Christian Academy is a direct ministry of Sweethaven Baptist Church. Because of this, the curriculum used in the classroom is in accordance with the views and teachings of Sweethaven Baptist Church.

Bible is a required subject at Sweethaven Christian Academy. The study of Scripture enhances the study of all other subjects, including English, math, history, and science. It enriches the minds and hearts of our students and prepares them for an effective life. The Bible lays a solid foundation of both moral and spiritual values.

As a Christian school, we are privileged to use this most important tool in the work of character building. Without a working knowledge and understanding of the Bible, a student cannot be considered educated in the truest sense.

Classes

Studies in Bible, phonics, reading, social studies, health/safety, skills development, music, art,  physical education, computers, and more, help develop the fundamental skills students need to become life-long learners.

.

Christian Service

High school students must also fulfill Christian service requirements. Students are given opportunities to serve the Lord through school-sponsored Christian service activities. We also encourage students to look for ways to serve in their own churches. A wide range of Christian service opportunities helps each student discover how he/she can continue to serve God after graduating from high school.
